I went to Jim’s office, or where he told me he worked, and it was an abandoned Radio Shack. In fact, this Radio Shack has been abandoned since 2004 which I learned from Google. Yes, I should have done a little more research when deciding to move here. I’ve been sleeping in my car trying to make a new plan and I’m not ready yet to drive back to Montreal.
There are a few things I’m having a really hard time figuring out and I want answers.  Why did he give me directions to this town? Why did he find me a place to sleep halfway if he wasn’t interested in actually being with me? He could have just given me a fake address before going radio silent?
He’s not answering any of my emails or calls or texts and he disappeared from Facebook. My friend Grace told me I was “catfished” but I don’t understand why he would go to all of this trouble just to send a random Canadian woman to Northern Kentucky.
This leads me to the only clear answer here: Life has always been waiting for me in Kentucky, I just needed a reason to come here! So I’m going to settle in and make the best of it!
